Our mission is to build a global platform for successful high-volume photography.

fotograf.de/GotPhoto provides photographers a SaaS system for selling photos online. We already have active customers in 15 different countries on 5 continents, and are growing fast. As the market leader in Europe, we achieved profitability in 2015. We’re backed by top investors, including Saarbruecker21, Dr. Florian Heinemann and Christian Vollmann.

What’s our business?

We’re disrupting the volume / school photography industry. Our market is huge: 150 million people are photographed in preschool and school photography in Europe and the US every year. However, the current method for selling photos is analog and inefficient: paper order forms are handed out, and photos are printed before they have been sold. Our innovative E-commerce and CRM system brings this process online. It’s faster, more efficient, and more profitable.

1. Skype Video call with HR Manager:

During this interview round, we will talk about your expectations with regards to the new team, role and company. In exchange,  you will learn about our business model and team culture.

 2. Onsite Interview with your future Team leader:

Throughout this interview round, we will give you deep insights of the role you applied for and show you the potential growth you can have with us!

3. Trial Day:

At the end, team fit is what counts: while sitting in the middle of your future team, we assign you a small trial task on which you will be working throughout the day. During lunch, we invite you to join the rest of the team. At the end of the day, we do an honest feedback round: Are we the right match for each other?

WHICH DOCUMENTS SHOULD I SEND WITH MY APPLICATION?

Please include your CV, your earliest possible starting date and your salary expectations in your application. If you are applying for a creative position, include examples of your work in the form of an online portfolio or by creating a download link.

MAY I APPLY FOR SEVERAL JOBS AT ONCE?

Sure! We’re always pleased when candidates are excited about several positions. Just be sure to submit your application for every position separately, and explain why you are interested in them and what relevant qualifications you have.

SHOULD I SEND MY APPLICATION IN ENGLISH OR GERMAN?

English or German is always good.

CAN I ALSO WORK FROM HOME?

Unfortunately this is not possible. We are big believers in the power of sharing the same space, sitting and working as a team. One time zone and one location means quick interactions and fast decision-making. We think this is one of the things that makes us successful.

DO I NEED TO SPEAK FLUENT GERMAN AND ENGLISH TO WORK AT FOTOGRAF.DE?

While English is the official language at fotograf.de, we do not expect perfection. Most meetings are held in English, so you should be comfortable working in the language on a daily basis. Some positions do require German language skills; check the job description for specific requirements.

ARE ALL VACANCIES ADVERTISED ON THE WEBSITE STILL OPEN?

Yes, definitely. If the position is still advertised, then it hasn’t yet been filled. Our website is updated regularly and therefore only shows vacant positions.

CAN I ALSO SUBMIT MY APPLICATION BY POST?

As an online company, we only accept digital applications and unfortunately cannot return applications via fax or snail mail. Save the environment and use our online application form instead.

WHEN CAN I EXPECT A RESPONSE FROM FOTOGRAF.DE?

We look forward to every job application and strive to provide each applicant feedback as soon as possible. But because we receive many applications, it may take a while before you hear from us. Don’t hesitate to get in touch again if you feel you have been waiting for a response for some time.

HOW CAN I PREPARE FOR THE INTERVIEW?

The interview process is an opportunity for us to get to know you a bit better, and find out what you can bring to the team. We won’t ask any trick questions. It is therefore a good idea to spend some time thinking about what you would like us to know about you. Make sure that you have read the job description thoroughly, and understand what is required for the position.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR FOR THE INTERVIEW?

The working atmosphere at fotograf.de is casual, so there is no need to dress formally for the interview.

WHO I HAVE THE FIRST INTERVIEW WITH?

Your first interview will usually be with our Head of Human Resources. The next steps are interviews with your future colleagues and the potential team lead. Depending on the position you apply for, the number of interviews will vary. For certain positions we invite candidates for an assessment day. You will come in to meet the team and have the opportunity to demonstrate some of your skills.
